Teresa Bradley Bays, DVM, CVA

Dr. Bradley Bays has been a veterinarian at Belton Animal Clinic & Exotic Care Center since 1993 and full owner since 2002. Her interests in veterinary medicine are varied but she loves surgery and takes much pride in some of the more difficult and life changing surgeries that she has done on dogs, cats and exotic animals. She is an international author and lecturer on exotic pet species and is working towards Board Certification as a specialist in Exotic Companion Mammals. As a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, she has helped many dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, birds and a few lizards to live a better and more comfortable life. She is currently enrolled in Chinese Herbal Therapy courses so she can provide additional help for her patients. She loves camping, reading, writing and spending time with her family and their three pets, Bonnie, Gypsy, and Flash (2 dogs and a cat).

 Dr. Bradley Bays is author of many articles, several book chapters and co-editor and coauthor of Exotic Pet Behavior. She is past president of ARAV and of MAVP. She is a member of the following organizations:

Melissa Freeman, DVM

Dr. Freeman grew up in Lee?s Summit and has lived in the Kansas City area her whole life. She joined Belton Animal Clinic and Exotic Care Center in June 2006 and enjoys the challenges and successes that come with each day of practicing medicine on dogs, cats and exotics. Dr. Freeman will receive Certification in Canine Rehabilitation this year after much study, and loves helping pets with arthritis, injuries and after surgeries to enjoy a more comfortable life and better mobility. Outside of work she enjoys cooking, baking, reading, swimming and spending time outdoors and spending time with her family, her dog Billie and her cat Miles.
