Pet Wellness
Did you know that 6 months is equal to 3-1/2 years in your pet's life?  Based on recommendations of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) we recommend a wellness care visit for your pet every 6 months.

We provide reminders in the mail to help you remember these important health care visits.  We want to partner with you to provide the wellness care your pet needs to keep them healthy and happy!

We pride ourselves on our preventative dental care program that can add up to 5 years to the life of your pet by preventing periodontal disease that can affect the liver, kidneys and heart.

Our state of the art facility is complete with the following:

  • Surgery Suite
  • General Medical Ward
  • Dental and Treatment Center
  • Isolation Ward
  • Radiology Room
  • Separate Boarding Areas for Cats and Dogs
  • Ultrasound Room
  • Expanded Exotics Ward
  • Surgical Recovery Ward
  • Acupuncture and Rehabilitation Room

We offer the following modern diagnostic and therapeutic services:Hospital

If your pet is hospitalized it will be placed in a quiet and comfortable area with soft linen cage pads. Each patient is examined daily by a veterinarian and a veterinary technician or assistant is assigned to monitor his or her condition, water and food needs, and to provide caring attention.

All animal holding areas are on a specialized air circulation unit.  Three to four times a day, 100% outside air is brought into the clinic and heated or cooled.  This helps decrease or eliminate odor and infection.  You can really smell the difference because there is no smell!

Grooming
Grooming for dogs is available 5 days a week by a technician in a professional, patient and compassionate manner.  We are not equipped to do specialty cuts , but can do whole body shaving, baths, and brush-outs. Cat grooming can be performed under anesthesia. You can rest assured that your pet is safe and that hospital staff and veterinarians are available whenever necessary. All grooming includes nail trimming, ear cleaning, and expressing the anal glands.  Maintenance plans at a discount are available.

Boarding
When your pets need a home away from home we offer separate boarding areas for large dogs, small dogs, cats, and exotics.  Dogs that are in our accommodations for hospitalization, grooming and boarding are walked 3 times per day on our spacious 2 acre tree-lined property.  All boarding pets are examined by a veterinarian on the first day that they join us. The kennel staff, veterinary technicians or assistants regularly monitor each pet in order to provide loving care to ensure health and happiness. If a medical situation arises, it is detected quickly and rectified by our professional staff.

Rest assured knowing that our entire building is monitored by fire and smoke alarms 24 hours a day.  Sprinkler systems are also installed throughout the entire facility in the event of a fire.

Exotic Animal Services
Our doctors receive a combined total of over 125 hours of continuing education in exotic animal medicine and surgery each year and pride themselves in their ability to provide advanced care for these pets. We have specialized accommodations and equipment for hospitalization, medicine, surgery, grooming and boarding for a variety of pets including reptiles, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, small mammals, fish and other exotics. Many other practitioners and veterinary specialty centers refer their exotic animal cases to our team. Dr. Teresa Bradley Bays is well known nationally and internationally for her articles and lectures on exotics and published a book on exotic pet behavior for veterinarians and pet owners. She is working on becoming a board certified specialist in small mammal exotics and reptiles for which few veterinarians in the United States qualify.
