Pajamas For Foster Kids Program

 It is not just a pair of pajamas, or an item of teen clothing, it is a simple way to help to elevate the self esteem of children who really need it! Since January of 2009, the staff at Belton Animal Clinic and Exotic Care Center has been doing fundraising and collecting new pajamas, new teen clothing and gently used clothing to donate to Midwest Foster Care and Adoption.

 As of the end of January 2012 we have collected or fundraised $4588.99 of donations. Along with pajamas that have been donated, this money has helped us to purchase 719 pairs of new pajamas and 1847 items of new teen clothing (including $450 worth of new socks and underwear)!!!

 We have had so much help from our dedicated clients, members of the community, local business and schools (including Kentucky Trail Elementary, Scott Elementary and Grace Early Childhood Center), girl scout troops, the Belton Evening Optimist Club and the Lions Club, the  High Blue Wellness Center, The Kohl's A-Team, as well as private donors.

 With the money donated, new pajamas and teen clothing are purchased at Kohl's at a discounted price.
