Dr. Becky Zelada

Dr. Becky Zelada is passionate about helping pets live happy, healthy lives while building lasting relationships with the families who love them. Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Iowa State University in 2017.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Zelada practiced in central California for several years before returning to the Midwest. Wanting to be closer to family and missing the Midwestern lifestyle, she relocated to the Kansas City metro area, where she met her husband, Joshua.

Dr. Zelada enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with special interests in preventative care, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, and geriatric medicine. She believes every pet deserves individualized care and that clear, compassionate communication helps families make the best decisions for their companions.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Zelada enjoys exploring the Kansas City area, spending time with her husband and their pets (three dogs and one cat), reading, and tending to her growing collection of plants.
